Online printing with Mimeo could not be easier. The online interface is simple but powerful, and the entire process is simple. But what really makes Mimeo stand apart is the innovative print driver. Rather than uploading your files or designing them online, Mimeo lets you order prints online directly from whatever program you’re using. Whether you’ve made your design in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Quark, or whatever, you order your online prints directly from the software.

After downloading the Mimeo print driver, it becomes an available “printer” to choose from whenever you print from any software program. Rather than sending your document to your physical desktop printer, the files are sent directly to Mimeo to professionally print and deliver.

The print driver approach is a completely new way to look at online printing, and is completely flexible. Mimeo allows you to print just about anything from the native software, giving you complete design freedom and control. Then you can preview your document online, add additional options, approve and finish your order.

If for some reason you’d prefer not to use the print driver (or are unable to since the Mimeo driver is currently unavailable for Macs), you can easily upload your completed design (in PDF) on the Mimeo website.

Selection:  

Mimeo is also slightly different from the majority of online printers when it comes to selection. Mimeo doesn’t offer nearly as many specialty marketing materials (bookmarks, business cards, as some of our other reviewed services, but they print a variety of products specifically for businesses. Mimeo primarily focuses on printing presentations, manuals, booklets, brochures, flyers, newsletters, sell sheets, and posters.

While the overall selection of specific products printed through Mimeo isn’t extensive, the choices and options within each product type are pretty impressive. Mimeo offers a large selection when it comes to binding types, folding varieties, and paper stocks.
